Ganoderma Lucidum: Red Reishi, Lingzhi

Red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is an adaptogen which are said to help your body resist physical, biological, and chemical stressors by helping the body “adapt” to stress bringing it back to a state of balance (homeostasis). For these reasons Lingzhi has been regarded as the Herb of Spiritual Potency and Immortality for over 2000 years.

Ganoderma lucidum may be an immune system stimulant as it is believed to stimulate the production various types of white blood cells that help prevent and fight against infection.

Reishi may also possess anti-inflammatory properties due to the fact that they contain Triterpenoids and polysaccharides which are believed to combat inflammatory ailments such as cancer, diabetes, and obesity.

In addition to the triterpenoids and polysaccharides, Ganoderma lucidum also contains adenosine which can decrease the thickness of the blood which improves its capacity to carry oxygen throughout the body providing more energy aiding to combat fatigue.
